About EMFGEO
From IT Career to EMF Consultant — A Personal Journey
“I chose this field out of necessity. I needed answers — to health symptoms I couldnt explain .”
When the Work Environment Becomes the Problem
For more than 30 years, I worked in the thick of the technology world on contracts designing and consulting for companies like IBM, Lotus Software, and Verizon. I was surrounded by computers, servers, wireless networks, and office equipment from morning to night. It was the career I’d built my life around.
Then, gradually, things started to change. I began experiencing health symptoms I couldn’t explain — fatigue that didn’t respond to rest, difficulty concentrating, a general sense that something was off. I cycled through the usual explanations: stress, diet, age. But nothing quite fit.
“Even though I was using the tools of technology everyday, I realized I knew almost nothing about what that technology was doing to the air around me — and to my body.”
When I started researching EMFs — electromagnetic fields — specifically in the context of long-term occupational exposure, something clicked. The science wasn’t fringe. There were peer-reviewed studies, established researchers, and an entire field of building biology focused on exactly the kind of environment I’d been living in for decades. I just hadn’t known where to look.
The Turning Point
Going to the Source
Knowing the problem existed was one thing. Finding qualified help was another. I discovered that most of what passed for “EMF advice” online ranged from vague to outright misleading. If I wanted real answers, I was going to have to learn this myself — properly.
I originally enrolled in training at the GEOVITAL Academy in Australia, and then at the Academy for Naturopathy and Radiation Protection in Austria.— an internationally respected institution for environmental health and radiation protection, with over 40 years of research behind it.
Back in the United States, I completed certification as an Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist (EMRS) through the Building Biology Institute, one of the leading professional training organizations for Building Biology and EMF assessment in North America. The Institute traces its roots to the Institut für Baubiologie + Nachhaltigkeit IBN in Germany, one of the original pioneers of Building Biology and the development of the Building Biology Standard (SBM).
Public Advocacy
Raising Awareness in Florida
As I developed my expertise, something else was happening in Florida: the rollout of 5G infrastructure across the Tampa Bay area and statewide. I began engaging with organizations like Americans for Safe Technology and the US Brain Tumor Association, working to raise public awareness and ensure the conversation about safety kept pace with the pace of deployment.
I also began organizing locally — connecting electrically sensitive individuals, Florida residents, and EMF practitioners who were navigating the same questions without a clear community to turn to. That work made clear how many people were dealing with real concerns and finding almost no qualified local support.
The Work Today
What EMFGEO Is Built to Do
I founded EMFGEO to fill that gap — to bring evidence-based, professionally calibrated EMF assessment to Florida families who deserve more than guesswork or fear-driven advice.
Whether you’re a homeowner trying to understand your bedroom’s RF environment, a buyer evaluating a property near a cell tower, or someone experiencing symptoms you can’t explain, I can measure what’s actually present, explain it clearly, and help you decide what — if anything — to do about it.
I don’t start with conclusions. I start with measurements. And I never recommend action that the evidence doesn’t support.
That’s the practice I wish had existed when I needed it.
