Professional Disclaimers & Reliance Statement

Standards & Exposure Advisory

These terms govern all assessment and consulting services provided by EMFGEO (King Group Solutions LLC, EMFGEO dba). By engaging EMFGEO for services, the client agrees to the conditions set forth below. For a description of our methodology and professional approach, see our Professional Standards Statement.

Download our Terms of Service Agreement for home assessments.

Nature of Service

EMFGEO operates as an environmental measurement and EMF consulting firm. Our role is to observe, measure, and provide professional guidance regarding electromagnetic field conditions within the built environment.

EMFGEO does not regulate exposure limits, establish medical standards, or guarantee specific health outcomes. All recommendations are advisory in nature.

Exposure standards and policies referenced in our work are set by recognized bodies including the EPA, FCC, OSHA, WHO, ICNIRP, and IEEE. EMFGEO additionally references precautionary frameworks such as the Building Biology Evaluation Guidelines (SBM-2024) and BioInitiative.org, which apply stricter thresholds than the above institutions.

ALARA Principle & Scope of Reduction

EMFGEO adheres to the “As Low As Reasonably Achievable” (ALARA) approach — recommending practical mitigation strategies, not defining safe exposure levels.

Clients should be aware that:

  • Electromagnetic energy is present throughout modern environments due to utility infrastructure, wireless networks, and neighboring technologies.
  • While mitigation strategies may significantly reduce measured levels, complete elimination of ambient electromagnetic fields is neither practical nor implied.
  • Assessments reflect conditions observed at the time of inspection only. Future changes — including infrastructure upgrades, network expansion, or adjacent device usage — may alter exposure conditions.

No Medical Determinations

EMFGEO does not diagnose medical conditions, interpret symptoms, or prescribe treatment. Our services are environmental in scope and are not a substitute for medical evaluation or care.

  • Clients experiencing health concerns should consult qualified medical professionals.
  • For clients with diagnosed medical conditions, a physician’s advisement regarding EMF exposure is recommended.
  • All website content is for informational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment.

Professional Opinion & Measurement Variability

All findings and recommendations provided by EMFGEO constitute professional opinion based on site observations, instrument measurements, environmental conditions at the time of inspection, and technician judgment.

Environmental measurements are inherently variable and may fluctuate due to factors outside our control. EMFGEO cannot warrant that conditions observed at the time of inspection will remain constant.

Non-Invasive Inspection Limitations

Assessments are limited to readily accessible areas and are conducted using non-destructive methods. EMFGEO does not open walls, disassemble building systems, remove electrical covers, perform destructive testing, or excavate grounding systems.

Hidden conditions may exist that are not discoverable through non-invasive inspection. Measurements and findings should be understood within this limitation.

Electrical Work & Licensed Contractors

When electrical irregularities are identified or suspected, EMFGEO may recommend evaluation or correction by a licensed electrician. EMFGEO does not perform electrical repair work.

Identification of a potential electrical condition by EMFGEO should not be interpreted as a full electrical code evaluation. All wiring corrections must be performed by licensed professionals. EMFGEO is not responsible for work performed by third-party contractors, installation quality, or the results of electrical modifications made after the assessment.

Shielding & Grounding Limitations

Shielding effectiveness depends on multiple variables, including building geometry, installation quality, coverage completeness, and existing electrical conditions. Improper installation or grounding performed by others may reduce effectiveness or introduce unintended electrical pathways.

Grounding decisions made by EMFGEO are conservative; however, EMFGEO cannot control conditions within a structure’s electrical system and is not responsible for outcomes resulting from modifications made by others.

Client Decision Authority

Implementation of any recommendations is solely at the discretion of the client. EMFGEO is not responsible for decisions made after the assessment, changes made to the property after inspection, product performance for items not installed by EMFGEO, or failure to implement recommendations.

Clients are encouraged to retain qualified licensed professionals for all electrical, structural, or construction work.

Third-Party Reliance

Reports and findings are prepared exclusively for the commissioning client. Reliance by third parties — including buyers, sellers, tenants, insurers, or legal representatives — is not authorized without written permission from EMFGEO. Unauthorized third-party reliance is prohibited.

No Litigation Support

EMFGEO services are not performed with the intent of supporting litigation or legal proceedings. If legal use of findings is anticipated, the client must disclose this prior to engagement. EMFGEO reserves the right to decline or discontinue service if legal action is pursued regarding illness, property damage, or other claims potentially linked to EMF exposure.

Scope Exclusions

EMFGEO assessments are conducted within the established conventions of EMF measurement science. Evaluation of exotic, experimental, or otherwise unrecognized technologies falls outside the scope of our work and will not be addressed in findings or reports.

Indemnification

By engaging EMFGEO, the client agrees to hold harmless and indemnify EMFGEO, its owners, and representatives from claims arising from misinterpretation of findings, unauthorized report distribution, work performed by third parties, failure to implement recommendations, or environmental changes occurring after inspection.

Amendments to These Terms

EMFGEO may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued engagement with EMFGEO following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. EMFGEO also reserves the right to refine its methodologies, reporting practices, and professional standards as measurement science and best practices evolve.
